Arab Amateur Radio Club Net Script
7:15PM
This is _________(Callsign). Is there any priority or emergency traffic requiring the use of the repeater at
this time?
(BREAK)
This is ________(Callsign), my name is _______ (Name), and I will be your net control station for this
week’s Arab Amateur Radio Club Net. All amateur radio operators are invited to check in and
participate, including non-club members. This purpose of this net is to promote on-air activity and
establish local communication practice between amateur radio operators.
This net meets each week on the 146.92 repeater at 7:15pm. The repeater requires a 77 hertz PL tone
for activation.
When checking in please give your full callsign slowly and phonetically, followed by your name and
approximate location.. Example, this is _______(callsign phonetically), _________(Name), in ______
(Location). If you are just checking in and have no traffic or announcements, please indicate “No Traffic”.
If you have traffic, also indicate this when checking in. We will give an opportunity for non-emergency
traffic and announcements at the end of the net. Mobile/Portable stations will be asked for their traffic,
if any, at the time they check in
(BREAK)
We will start our check ins for tonight’s net with any newly licensed operators or first timers to the net.
If you are newly licensed or checking in with us for the first time, please call now:
(Break and wait for a response. If no response, move on to the next group. If you get a check-in, make
sure you have their call and name correctly written down and welcome them to the net)
Are there any Mobile or portable stations wishing to check in to the net?
(Break and wait for a response. If no response, move on to the next group. If you get a response,
document the call and name and if they indicated traffic, go ahead and take their traffic now since
they are mobile/portable).
We will now begin regular check-ins. Again, please give your callsign phonetically, your name and
location when checking in, and indicate if you have traffic for the net. Traffic and announcements will be
held until the end of the net.
We will begin check-ins with A – Alpha callsigns. If your callsign begins with A- Alpha, please call now.
(Remember to acknowledge each group of check-ins before moving on to the next group. You may
choose to ask for the same call group again if several people checked in during that call group,
otherwise, move on to the other callsign prefixes)
Next we will take K – Kilo calls. Callsigns beginning with K- Kilo please call now.
Now we will take N- November Calls. Any N- November calls, please call now.
(REMEMBER TO IDENTIFY AT LEAST EVERY 10 minutes…. This is a good spot for that)
Now we will take W- Whiskey calls. Any W- Whiskey calls, please call now.
That is the end of regular check-ins, do we have any late or additional check-ins at this time?
(At this point once late check-ins are done, go back to anyone who had announcements from roll call.)
_______, You had an announcement for the net? Please go ahead with your announcement.
(Announcements)
Does anyone need any fills?
We’ll take one last standby for late check-ins to the Arab Amateur Radio Club Net.
